It is reported this week that Cablevision, the owner of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks, settled a sexual harassment lawsuit involving the former senior vice president of marketing and business operations for the team.  A jury had awarded the plaintiff $11.6 million and the judge was nearing a decision on additional compensatory damages.  The former executive also claimed that she was terminated for complaining about the harassment.

Although the settlement is confidential, The New York Times reports that the settlement was for $11.5 million, including $4 million in attorneys’ fees.  The executive was also seeking $9.6 million in compensatory damages in addition to the jury’s award.
