Apparently election year politics trump concern for the worker.  The U.S. Department of Labor has issued guidance for federal contractors who may face budget cuts due to sequestration in early 2013.  Their advice?  You don’t need to comply with the WARN Act.  Oddly, the WARN notices would be required to go out (i.e. pink slips) to employees the week before the election.  H/T CNS News.
